My youngest son has asthma and gets frequent asthma-cough that could go on for weeks, especially in the cold months. I thought I should have one oxygen machine at home just in case his asthma gets worse and he would have trouble breathing. I decided to go with this oxygen concentrator as it seems to tick all the boxes. When arrived, the box was a little bit dented. I was worried there will be a problem with the machine. Fortunately, the machine itself is intact and works fine. Fill the humidifying case with distilled or filtered water not exceeding its max level. Plugin the power cord. Connect the nasal cannula. And switch on the machine. When it's on sleep mode, it's just quiet. It can be operated by using a remote (batteries not included). I have tried this machine on myself and truly impressed with the air ( pure oxygen that is) that comes out from it through the oxygen tube - fresh and pure. Even after using it for less than 30 minutes, I could feel more revitalised and awake. Not only this machine is essential for people who have difficulty breathing and cant get oxygen naturally, but it is said that oxygen therapy can help improved energy levels and sleep, and better quality of life. It looks like I might be using this machine more than my son would.
I have one of these already set up in my grandparents vehicle for when they need to go out and about for travel. After having it for a while we realised we'd need a second one for our car too as we tend to drive them around to hospital appointments as we're their main carers. We have them set up in the back of our people carrier so they can be easily accessed, recharged and used. My grandmother in particular who has a varying need for oxygen really likes these units and would never want us to switch to anybither model I think that comes down to simplicity of use. They are simple units, that have a small amount of adjustability but are so straightforward, this is why I think she wouldn't want to change.
Used for a very elderly relative who had slightly low oxygen sats with covid19. Did the job in providing low flow oxygen at 1-2L to keep sats above 92%. Used for 2 weeks until recovered under the supervision of a doctor. Not suitable for those that are unwell or with a higher oxygen requirement as not strictly a medical device. If using for medical reasons would only do so under medical supervision. Easy to set up and use.
Im going thru hard times in my life. Year ago i realized i have breathing problems. Also sth with blood circulation. Device just arrived and to be honest. Im really happy. Its best machine i ever bought. This times ppl its the best solution and in my opinion all of is should have one. Now i will enjoy my new fantastic machine!
The oxygen control is large and easy to operate, this controls the volume of air coming out. Everything, including the on/off is controlled from the large touch screen panel. This allows timing, oxygen flow etc. I find it very responsive, no need to exert lots of pressure to get things to happen. The power cable plugs into the rear of the machine there is also a master on/off switch on the back as well. To use you need to put a fairly small amount of pure water into the tank on the front of the machine. Sounds easy but it takes a fair amount of pressure to get the tank off. Then simply connect up whichever ‘breather’ you want to use and switch on. It certainly seemed to help, I was able to continue to take deep breaths and overall my recovery time was a lot shorter than previously from an attack. I can’t say for certain that this was all due to this machine as anyone who suffers from astma knows that the strength of the attacks can vary, but I certainly believe that it helped.
This is a very handy piece of Kit to have at home, not only because of Covid but as a general solution across a wide range of breathing related conditions. I have two of these machines and one has now gone to a family member to assist them with a related heart condition.Great fallback if you need assistance with general breathing and can calm a condition and allow you to do so from home. Happened to me and my original machine got my condition under control without referral to Hospital. Treat this as an Aid to general breathing issues, serious breathing difficulties are to be referred to your GP or emergency medical team.
